Editor, Vaccinations are used to help prevent communicable diseases from being caught by someone. Vaccines make people who get them more immune to some communicable diseases. Some vaccines are required by law, others are optional. People who are properly vaccinated can prevent diseases in themselves, in people around them, and can prevent the spread of serious diseases. If a person is vaccinated for some communicable diseases they are less likely to get that disease. Some communicable disease vaccinations are for common diseases. One example is Chicken Pox, which is a vaccination most people get when they are little. This disease used to be common or at least semi-common but now almost no one in America gets it because a vaccination was made
