Why Is Universal Health Care Not Pay For

Improved Essays
Health care should not have to be individually paid for, it should be universal and provided by the government. The providers of health care such as hospital and doctors offices, make the prices to receive healthcare outrageous. Which makes it very hard to pay for for the people with little or no money. There may be some faults to making universal healthcare, but out of the faults universal healthcare provides the necessities of living a healthy life.

Hospitals and doctors offices charge an arm and a leg for check ups and services. This creates a problem for the people who dont have the money to pay for these services. Many who have children dont use doctors offices as they are needed, because of the worry of how they will pay.

People don’t like to wait, they want things as soon as possible, they think that if they were able to pay for the services themselves, they would skip the line and get special treatment. This may be true however, problems could arise from allowing citizens to opt out of the public healthcare system. Truth is, wait times depend on demand, which…

Without a government program that provides medical care for citizens, a country would crumble. It is inhumane for a country to deprive the people healthcare in the 21st century. Although most countries do have a healthcare system, not all work in favor of the citizens. For example, the United States Health Care system is not adequate for its citizens while the Canadian health care system is. Both nations programs are commonly compared and contrasted.…

There are many different views on the way healthcare should be implemented in our country. On one side we have a multi-payer system, where private health insurance companies are involved insuring people individually. On the other side we have universal healthcare, a single-payer system. This system will provide health insurance to anyone, through the government if needed. All people have the right to health insurance therefore, it is essential that we go to a single-payer system.…

Healthcare has evolved tremendously over the years; there have been so many changes partly due to the extended life expectancy of the elders, increased mental disease awareness, more patients being diagnosed with cancer and a number of other factors. Healthcare has expanded beyond simply treating diseases, but preventing diseases. Patients can now expect their primary care physician and insurance company recommending having yearly preventative visit, lab work and diagnostics test such as mammograms, colonoscopies, prostrate checks, etc. However some of those necessary preventative test are not covered under some insurance plans, or they are covered but not 100%. With that being said patients feel pressured into doctor visit and lab work that results in excessive medical bills on top of copay/co-insurances and monthly premiums.…

First the cost of healthcare is so high that it doesn't give everyone an opportunity to purchase the healthcare or insurance that is needed. This can be huge problem for someone with health issues, it wouldn’t allow them to get the care they needed or be able to purchase the drugs that are need since the drugs are so high now. If the cost of healthcare would shrink, more people would be able to afford it and if more people can afford healthcare and purchase the proper insurance, peoples money wouldn’t be going towards those who don’t have healthcare and overall bring the price down. I think the best way to get rid of the staggering cost in the United States healthcare system is the look at the price of medication. Most of the medication prices in controlled by the ones who make it or also known as big pharmacy's.…

The government spends a lot of money on the military inside America and military bases outside America which drains the tax money and in my opinion it is a waste of the tax money that people are working for in America. If some of the money used in the military was invested in the health care system, the government would have more funds to create an affordable system that could be easily maintained by a person living off minimum wage. Since 1968, Canada has had a universal health care that covers almost everything except for prescription drugs, glasses, and dental care. It is exactly like the Medicaid in America but it is for all Canadian citizens regardless of their age, wealth, and social status. capitalism is the main system almost most things run by in America, it shouldn’t be like that with health because it is directly related to people’s health but unfortunately it…

In many countries, healthcare is considered a comfort or in some cases even a luxury. However, a few select countries around the world offer healthcare to their citizens for free. These citizens, along with many political parties in the country, believe that healthcare should be freely accessible to everyone as a basic human right. In my opinion, having experienced the Canadian model, free healthcare is something I don’t personally need because I rarely get sick. Although, seeing people suffering all around the world in poor, developing countries without the benefits of free healthcare makes me think that it should be offered everywhere.…

The government should NOT provide free healthcare. Free healthcare is a plan to increase taxes and would not help the financing of this country. It is also too ambitious and would be very hard to regulate. In the past free healthcare has been exploited by patient and Doctor. Some people in this world would elect to be without health care because they cannot afford it. If the people don’t get this type of health care, then many of these people could risk dying due to sicknesses. Everyone should have the right to free health care, no matter their finances or economic situation. Another reason why health care should be free is because certain medical procedures like cancer treatments are very expensive.
