In this report I will explain the information found and asserted to the questions such as," why is type two diabetes a problem in our community.,what is the biology (science) behind type two diabetes as well as "can diet and exercise fret the prevention of type two diabetes". These questions will be further explained within detail and the position of my views in the paragraphs that follow.
why is type two diabetes a problem in our community , well According to my data collected there are over 240,000 people in New Zealand who have been diagnosed with diabetes (mostly type two) though there are another 100,000 people who have it but don 't know. Previously was referred to as a non insulin dependant diabetes . Type two diabetes results when your body doesn 't produce enough insulin or is unable to use insulin properly , a hormone that stimulates cells to take up glucose from the bloodstream. Cells needs glucose as fuel to produce energy. Research indicates that the main cause of type two diabetes is by a combination of environmental and genetic factors. Most of these factors make people more likely to develop the disease including obesity. Carbohydrates are a main form of energy consumed and utilized by the body . And without the knowledge and motivation the figures will continue to increase. And so people with type 2 diabetes are in need to be educated with a health plan and exercise plan to benefit their well being. And decrease the chances of premature death. Within understanding the science form behind type two diabetes it can help the society become more aware of what their consideration is and benefit is by making the change. The issue of type two diabetes in our community has become an ongoing problem causing a large amount of impact on the nation 's health and government. So producing a change in our food industry with healthy food being cheaper and available. This will improve the amount of people affected by type two diabetes lower. So therefor diabetes is a large problem in our new zealand society and we need as a nation a better education on now to control and eliminate type two
