Why Is Track Important To Me

Decent Essays
Out of all the things that make me joyful, one of them is when track season starts. I love going to the track meets and competing against other people. Track is honestly my number one favorite sport. On the other hand, something that makes me feel better when i’m gloomy is knowing that all my friends are there for me. Sometimes all I need is for them to hug me tight and tell me that everything is going to be okay. Strangely enough, being around my family makes me feel extremely secure and cheerful. However, i get really scared when it’s nighttime and they leave me home alone after i’ve finished watching

Growing up in Vail, I would often ride the chair lift with strangers and they would ask, “Where are you from?” I would reply “here.” The people I shared the chairlift with would tell me how lucky I was, but I would just smile politely and nod, unaware of my fortune. I had grown up in mountains and didn’t know anything different. As I have gotten older and been fortunate enough to have traveled outside of my familiar mountain range, I have realized how intensely beautiful mountains are.…

The thing about running is that you hate it until it’s over, at least for me that’s true. Personally, I like running, and it gives me a chance to get out and work towards something. All throughout high school, I’ve run track, and for two years I ran cross-country, both are great sports. The two years I ran cross-country made me wish I ran all four years. If you’re part of more than one sport, it’s natural to choose a favorite.…
