The socialist party is a democracy that believes in equality for all and that people should be in charge of their own lives. They have no dictator or are run by a single person. The government doesn't exactly control everyone but rather each city or town allows the mayor or citizens to make decisions for that city or town. The acceptance of all regardless of age, religion, race, sexuality, etc. is very important to socialist. Providing all people with items or basic needs is top priority. Children, both boys and girls, are taught to do whatever they chose with their life and not allow stereotypes of any kind to influence their decisions. The Russian Revolution played a huge part in the formation of the Soviet Union. Russian was not the only country in the Soviet Union, but was the most powerful. An important dictator was Joseph Stalin. After World War II the United States and the Soviet Union started to disagree on things. One argument was over Eastern Europe. The United States believed Eastern Europe should become democratic while the Soviet Union thought they should be communist countries. This disagreement and may others led to the Cold War. The Cold War lasted from 1947 to 1991, the year the Soviet Union fell.
