However this is very far from reality, as even in a more accepting and liberal word the Salvation Army have kept their homophobic ideology, and have in the past tried to make a deal with the US President to ensure religious charities did not have to comply with anti-gay discriminatory laws. This type of disgusting and discriminatory behaviour is simply outdated and unfortunately this has had a fatal impact on one homeless transgender woman who sought help from the charity. In 2010 Jennifer Gale, a transgender woman was found dead on the pavement outside of a Salvation Army homeless shelter, she was turned away due to the fact she did not comply with the Salvation Army’s rules and was forced to sleep on the pavement in near freezing temperatures which triggered a deadly heart attack. The results of homophobia and transphobia in the Salvation Army are deadly, if it were not for their vicious transphobia towards Jennifer Gale she would not have had to suffer in such a savage and
