Some believe that the monster in Loch Ness is a type of plesiosaur. The plesiosaur is a 76 million year old species that had 4 flippers and lived during the dinosaur age. From fossils that scientists have uncovered, the plesiosaur had a very long neck and could reach the size of 50 feet. The website Live Science says, “Still, being small had its advantages. A bus-size plesiosaur would find it challenging to navigate the narrow channels of a river, so perhaps these "tiny" plesiosaurs benefited from their diminutive size..” From this we can conclude, that a small plesiosaur could have the ability to navigate rivers and enter Loch Ness.
