The choice made by Truman to drop the atomic bomb on Japan in WWII on August 6th and August 9th was very wrong, and truly unnecessary. Japan was well ready to surrender, and they hurt thousands of innocent people. The action was wrong because they hurt mostly women, children, and old people while the men were at war. It was unnecessary because Japan was already ready to surrender after two announcements the U.S made. They announced the Soviet Union Army was going to attack Japan, and they also said that if Japan surrenders, they could keep their empire. There was absolutely no reason for using the atomic bomb and causing all of the destruction, if Japan was ready to surrender. Researchers keep emphasizing that it would of put an end to the
