If these bombs destroyed Japan’s most important cities, their communications, factories, and docks would be destroyed without sending troops into the country. If we had not of used the bombs to take out Japan’s communications, it would have been nearly impossible to do this by hand. We would have been captured and taken hostage. By using the atomic bombs to do the work, this job was done a lot easier and done quicker.
Another reason that the atomic bombs were necessary, was that we would be saving more lives than we would be taking. If the war had gone on any longer, there would be millions more lives being taken then by just using the bombs. By using these bombs, we ended the war. If we hadn't of used the bombs, Japan could have more time to fight back, and we could of been risking our win.
Even though these reasons are really important all together, the most important reason for using the bombs was to show the world that we were one of the strongest nations. Once Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, we knew that we needed to show the world who the strongest nation was. Once we got the Nazis’ to surrender, we knew who our next targets were without a doubt.
