To achieve the American dream in the puritan society one had to follow and live their life through the bible, which is god’s law. in the article it mentions that the American dream is only alive in certain parts of the country. although these two ideas seem to believe that the American dream is somewhat alive, they are very different because in the article it goes on to say that not everybody shares the same opportunities like most would think, and in puritan society it is believed that anybody can achieve their dream if they were blessed by god and follow god's law. it shows that in the puritan culture and in the article the American dream is not something everyone can
