Learning reading and writing became a very important thing in peoples' lives because people can get their basic knowledge through reading books or writing a paper. Some people think that the ability to read and write more important today than in the past. Others do not think so. In my view, I agree that the ability to read and write became more important nowadays, for these two important reasons. First, reading and writing skills help people find a better job. This is important to help people have better lives. For example, my friend, John, did not study at the school. So, he did not learn how to read or write.
