Imagine studying all night then taking a test and end up getting a lower grade while someone who did not study at all received a better grade because they cheated? This was a very unfair situation and the cheater did not deserve the grade they received. The same thing happens in the sport industry and in many other industries. While this might seem unfair and illegal in the sports industry, other industries have their own way of cheating, but it is not illegal. Peter F. Martin’s “Destroyed” depicts the unbalanced playing field that steroids pose when this substance is involved.
To start off, steroids have been involved in many professional sports for many years. It does not matter which sports it is, the outcomes are always the same; an unbalanced playing field.
