Why Is Soccer Unimportant

Many people believe soccer is unimportant.. Some think it’s pointless. To us soccer players we are insulted by this. I believe soccer makes the world a better place. Soccer connects people of all ethnicities and race as a universal language and helps teach people life skills. I believe soccer is the best sport, that is why it is the most widely renowned sport in the world. When I first played I was 7 and when I experienced soccer I was filled with a deep passion for this sport. I played on a recreational team to see if I liked it. When I first went to practice I learned that my coach was the mom of Kaidan Popp. My coach noticed that I was more serious about soccer and had more skill than any of the other players and recommended that I play select soccer like her son Kaidan. Kaidan was somebody I always strived to be better than and I decided that to be better I had to play at a higher level so I joined a select team. I would play for 4 more years but only got on the B team for the first 2 years and finally on the A team the last 2. After this point kids started to move to a higher level, playing premier soccer. It has made me a slightly more outgoing person, allowing me to make more friends. I also got into really good shape and was in very good condition for most physical activities. I believe soccer also helped me academically. In school I would work better as a group because of the teamwork used in soccer. I started to get into the highest classes of math and excelled. I believe soccer has, in general, made me a better person. Now I have very good leg strength and strive to build a better upper as I am one of the smaller kids on the team every time. This will help me play because it will allow me to play much more easily against kids that can be as much as 2 times as tall as me. I won't fall as easily and be able to hold my own against the bigger kids especially when I play high school
