Why Is Soccer Important To You Essay

Throughout my high school years I, have played and lettered in the varsity level in soccer. Now that I have finally reached my last year of high school, knowing where I want soccer to take me in the future, I have taken many things into consideration. For example, soccer has taught me many skills for which I’m able to apply to life. I broke them down into four major skills in which I am able to implement into my own personal growth. The four skills have helped shape me into the soccer player I am now and it has also given me the opportunity to play soccer in college on a scholarship which gives me the privilege to further my education.

This influential factor anyone can relate to because willpower is embedded in everyone but it is up to you to apply it. This is something any athlete can empathize with completely. Wanting to do something and choosing whether to do it is not always easy for me. Having to consciously choose when and where to tap into my willpower requires a lot of dedication and determination. For example, me team an I would have practices where we’d have extreme workouts that would push each of us to our limits, and it would show us our capabilities. Moments like these are when you have a mental battle with yourself and instead of choosing to quit you keep pushing yourself, because quitting should not be an option especially when you want to set a good example for your team members. I know that as long as I set my minds to pushing myself daily we can overcome anything with my willpower. Tapping into my willpower will help me apply myself to anything I do, which is something I know will help me in
