Why Is Soccer Important To Me

GOALLLLLLLLL!!! Everyone screams as I score in the last 20 seconds of the game. I am running with the ball as the girls on the other team are running with me trying to get the ball. I feel the tension and the pressure of the other teammates: I pass the ball back , and then the clock is ticking. We can't waste any time I just shoot! It’s a goal and as my teammates celebrate me , I am celebrating my self because I didn’t know I could actually do it. Coming from a family where everyone loves soccer makes me love it way more. Soccer isn't just a sport where you play with people , it's a sport where you meet your second family.

My second Family is my school soccer team they became like my sister and it was truly the best 3 years playing with them. They became family because they truly showed me the definition of what it is to believe in yourself and see the potential you have. I will always be grateful for the support the gave me in the 3 years of the season.

I met a coach and he gave me the “ why you don't play soccer ,it isn't that bad as it seems” I had the opportunity and I took it. I played my first ever game and let me tell you it had never been more embarrassed in my life. I had the ball on my own and still managed to miss the goal. I started practicing when I was 14 and never

I got off the bench flying down the ice, I could feel the wind trying to make a barricade against me, but every time I broke through. Once I got the pass from my teammate in the high slot, I gathered all the strength I could and fired the puck, as hard as I could. I was hungry and envious to get that goal. I watched the puck float crisply through the brisk cold air, then it bounced off the goalies stick, hit the crossbar, and went in! Once I knew it was in I had a huge grin on my mug and was filled with happiness I thought “Yes, Yes, Yes”!…

The sport in its entirety is what I came to love. So, I’m still following a soccer-centric path as much as possible. Along the way, I guess my passion wasn’t seen by only me, later giving me the opportunity to become my school’s varsity team’s videographer, something I’ll never be able to fully express my gratitude for. It’s gotten to the point where bringing up the sport to friends is just verbal diarrhea for them. Yet, they’ve never gotten fed up, and that’s just it.…

It decides whether it is steering the ball into the net or past it depending on the work rate the striker invests in the try to score a goal – you have to earn scoring a goal, it won’t just fall into your hands! This attitude makes me look at the goal as a friend instead of an opponent and it awards me an additional boost of concentration and motivation.
