Snowboarding is a widely popular sport that entertains many people, but it did not always start this way. Snowboarding was not widely accepted when it started out. A pioneer in snowboarding that helped make the sport popular was, Jake Burton. He was the first person to accomplish numerous technological advancements to help snowboards evolve into what they are today. Many resorts did not even allow snowboarding till it was finally recognized as a real sport. The Olympics helped snowboarding become popular.
