Accordingly, slavery ended in 1965, correct? I am here to tell you that it did not in fact end, and still continues to this day. In the book “Slavery and Human Trafficking” by Noah Berlatsky, he quotes “Slavery today is estimated by the International Labour Organization to be a $32 million billion a year business.” claiming that people make a lot of money making other people do their work for little or no pay. There are many ways, as bringing in illegals, and having them work for low pay but giving them the freedom to living in the United States and free from their corrupt country. Many also believe making today's prisoners work for as little as .30 cents a day is considered slavery, prison slavery. But, the main concern is human trafficking. …show more content…
In other terms, some are brought to the United States Illegally and promised a better life if they work under a pimp.
