Yes, Slavery was one of the main causes issue between the north and the south. Slavery was also a sectional issue between the north and the south.
It is evident that the most fundamental causes the war was slavery. if slavery had previously been abolished in country, it is likely that the war would not have happened. There are other issue such as the government power, differences in society, expansion of slavery in territories, taxation,
