Why are school busses yellow?

Honk honk the bright yellow school bus arrived! Then I wonder why are school busses yellow? It is such a wacky yellow too. School busses are supposed to bring kids to school and then back home, why can't they just be any color just like any car? Have you ever thought just how weird the color of a school bus is ? Do you think the color of a school bus is the yellow that you find out of a crayon box? Actually it is not that kind of yellow. It is a kind of glossy yellow and a mango.
