He would make people smile without even trying and make them feel all sorts of emotions just by talking to a person. Williams was very good with his words, “you’d invariably walk away with a smile on your face from some joke he told, and also be moved by some observation he shared about his own life” (Robin Williams: The Crazy (Amazing) One). This proves that Williams knew how to get to people, in a good way. He knew how to talk to people to show them what truly matters in life; not money or pleasing others, but by pleasing themselves first by doing what they love and makes them happy. He worked hard on proving this to himself, being diagnosed with depression was only an obstacle for him to continue searching for what brought him joy. That was how he wanted everyone else to view the illness as as well, always making sure they knew that it would get better one day. Moreover, Williams grew up without his parents around a lot, so whenever they would come home, he would make it his duty for them to be happy.
