Human resources play a large role within any given company, where they can use various effective policies in order to create leaders within the business. This essay would discuss the concept of good leadership as well as the different types of leaders, would also look at whether good leaders could be built through internal labour markets, and finally the different characteristics and the unexpected qualities of a leader.

Over the years there have been several definitions of leaders, Peter Drucker has defined leadership as follows, and “The only definition of a leader is someone who has followers.” Even though, Peter Drucker is a brilliant mind, his definition of leadership is not as effective in the current era we live in. Job rotation is when employees are relocated to different jobs or assignments within the company in order to expose them to all jobs of the same level. The advantages of job rotation are, increasing the motivation and satisfaction of employees. Also helps the individuals become aware of their own interests. And finally helps employees find out their hidden talents and overcome new challenges. Although, it creates motivation in some employees, it could also create stress and anxiety, as a few employees do not like leaving their comfort zone. Time is also a major disadvantage to job rotation, as time is required for an employee to adjust to the new jobs they rotated into. Either be a inspiration to your daily life, be an inspiration at your workforce, or be an inspiration during perilous times. Being an inspirational leader requires you to understand the people, who follow you, to be able to motivate employees to reach the goals, and to have empathy. Pope Francis in my eyes is a very inspirational leader, with unexpected qualities that make him a great leader. There are several unpredicted qualities that make inspirational leaders who they are, and those qualities are, leader are able manage their followers with empathy; they are able to reveal their differences, and show their weakness when needed. Why I believe Pope Francis is an inspirational leader is because he has two of the unexpected qualities that make him a good leader. He has empathy towards every living being, whether Christian, Muslim, Jew or Buddha. He once quoted "Who am I to judge?" in regard to the church’s view to homosexuality. Also was said to wash a female Muslim prisoner’s feet. He has the quality that allows him to understand the feelings of another. Another quality that the current Pope has is that he isn’t afraid of showing he is different. Since he was elected, he refused to occupy the palatial papal apartments, also asked his followers to stop giving him a rock star treatment.
