Why Is Pe Important To Me

Decent Essays
PE was one of the most exciting periods I had, but my favorite activity for PE was doing sports, the sports is so fun, the sports you can pick are always the best. One of my favorite sports we had in PE is pumpkin ball, because it's just like baseball but more joyful. Though, it could be really competitive in ways the kids think of, for me I do the sports for fun and not for competition. All my friends enjoyed PE, just not the running aspect. Though overall, sports is the most entertaining activity in PE. Some things teach me in PE, like the way we train and the way we run, all of that motivates me and learn that you shouldn't slack off, or be inactive because doing that will hurt you during life. When I run or do exercises, I motivate myself

Have you noticed that Physical Education seems to be a narrowing field? I strongly believe that there is a reason we need to keep PE in schools and in society today. Unfortunately, I feel as though many of the educators and teachers today aren’t taking it seriously. They aren’t doing enough to help the students become physically active, instead, the teachers just sit there because it is a job to them, nothing more. If the teachers had a better personal philosophy on what they actually want to teach, then I feel like PE would be a much stronger field and everyone would want it around.…

The most important activity that I have participated in during high school was marching band. Marching band has been the program that I have been dedicated to the longest. It has taught me necessary values and life skills, such as time management, discipline, and camaraderie. Rehearsing two to three hours everyday after school forces a student to learn how to manage their time. From July through November, a large amount of time is consumed by rehearsals, football games, and competitions.…

The best college students learn very quickly that the best thing that they can do is never give up, discover something new every day, work with the community as best as they can and show great respect for the learning community. They also learn that service to the community is essential and they do this by helping others and making them stronger learners. Although Bain’s book does a very good job of explaining all of these values, the one that stands out to me is that of discovery. Discovery stands out because in order to learn you must find/discover something new every day in order to be the best learner that you can be. Stories that Exemplify Discovery…
