The word influential means to have an impact on something or someone. Success to me is Oprah Winfrey, I chose to use Oprah Winfrey as my influential person to write a paper on because she is the true definition of success. Although Oprah was fired from her first television job as an anchor in Baltimore, Oprah could’ve gave up and stopped pursuing her dreams in that moment. She didn’t, she fought for what she wanted. Oprah gained her own talk show, from there she owned her own television network, and you know the saying, “You get a car!” Oprah gave back to the community, it doesn’t always have to be materialistic things either, it can be advice and great teachings, which is why she’s so influential to me today.
