Through all the controversial issues in the topic of obesity. It can be agreed that obesity is not an easy disease that can be treated with little thought to it. It’s a challenge that will only grow more complex as time will let it develop into a more intricate epidemic. Pediatricians are not the only one’s at fault for the continued growth of the problem. The best way for treatment in my opinion is to let the patient decide the best way to treat their disease. If it’s through surgery, intervention, dieting, physical activity, and/or medication. No one can ever say their way is the optimal way to deal with a widespread disease. The best professionals can do is to offer their guidance and assistance. Society as a whole must come together to
