@00:00 This video was about both sides of the debate. This debate will go on for many years to come. This debate started a long time ago. Plato and Aristotle both thought different things about weather genetics or the people surrounding us determined how we acting.I believe that nurture is more responsible for personality. In this video it talked about feral children. One girl had been raised by dogs, and she acted just like them. That's why I think nurture is responsible for personality.

Nature's Truth The Nature vs. Nurture is the most common debatable subject in Psychology. Like whether personality is a nature or a nurture thing. I personally think that nature is the biggest predictor of personality and behaviour. And it refers to the range of traits, capacities and limitations that each person inherits genes from his or her parents at the moment of conception such as pigmentation of the skin, eye colour, body type, diseases, athletic ability, memory and etc. But some traits have a stronger tendency to get passed down like height and weight unlike shyness and intelligence which have some tendency to get passed down.…

Our surroundings often shape our personalities and influence our individual qualities. In the nature versus nurture debate, in my opinion, I believe that humans are prone to adapt to the environment they're brought up in; meaning they contain a genetic disposition toward certain characteristics, however, they are revealed differently based on circumstances. I believe familial and social bonds, as well as academic and employment experiences most notably mold the person we become. As we all know, parents always want the best for us. They nurture us throughout our childhood and help us enter our adulthood well prepared.…

The nature-versus-nurture issue is the scientific, cultural, and philosophical debate about whether human culture, behavior, and personality are caused by nature or nurture. Now the connection of the overproduction of synaptic connections and their subsequent retraction, or pruning with the nature-versus-nurture issue is that they both are heredity. Heredity means the passing of physical or mental characteristics genetically from one generation to another. Also, the connection is that the environment comes to play when it influences the timing and course of pruning. When it comes to the nature-versus-nurture issue, environment comes into play and so does the physical characteristics.…

In my opinion in the argument of Nature v. Nurture, nurture has a greater effect on one's personality. Although we can be predisposed to certain characteristics and traits, I believe that with the right environment as a child you can change these things. While they might still be in you, you can grow up learning to choose to be who you want to be whether it be that your parents had temperament issues and you choose to try and be kind and manage your temper or if one of your parents was a sociopath and you are brought up to act differently and empathize with others and your environment. For example, Ted Bundy was a serial killer who kidnapped and sexually assaulted his victims.…

Are people the way they are because of their genes (nature), or because of how they were brought up (nurture)? Multiple sources provide insight that points towards humans being nurtured as opposed to being nature. One source is Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein which is about Dr. Victor Frankenstein and how he creates a creature who is nurtured by society through multiple events. He obtains multiple traits throughout the story. The next source is “The Nature vs. Nurture Debate” which discusses both topics in detail.…

Nature Vs. Nature; why nurture should take most of the credit. " The social psychology of this century reveals a major lesson: often it is not so much the kind of person a human is as the kind of situation in which he/ she finds themselves that determines how they will act". 1 This quote written by Stanley Milgram makes a great point in ways that nurture can play a more important way.in the "nature versus nurture" debate.…

Nurture vs. nature has been debated for a long time, nurture is how your environment has had an effect on you while nature is what type of genes your were born with will determine your personality. Nurture is obviously the right answer because it has a bigger impact on someone personality rather than nature. If a man abuses his wife and kids is it because he was born with violent traits or is it because something he learned for his parents behavior. This debate within psychology is concerned with the extent to which particular aspects of his debate within psychology is concerned with the extent to which particular aspects of behavior are a product of either inherited or acquired. Nature is influenced by genetic inheritance and other biological…

It is one of the oldest arguments in the psychology community, and has in fact existed longer than the twenty-one years I 've been alive. Since first introduced by Francis Galton in 1869, it has evolved as an even more controversial topic. There are those who believe that nature has the biggest influence on one’s behavior, while others argue that nurture does.…

Every human is made differently. From the day they are born, no two strands of DNA are even close to being similar. Not only is everyone’s chemical makeup different, but the way one is raised and adapts to the world varies greatly from anyone else, but what makes the most difference is the way that one’s nature or the way one is nurtured effects them. This debate has been ongoing ever since it was brought up in 1869 by Sir Francis Galton. “Medicine Net” is a well known medical website which explains the theory, “In the context of the nature vs. nurture debate, ‘nature’ refers to biological/genetic predispositions’ impact on human traits, and nurture describes the influence of learning and other influences from one’s environment” (MedicineNet).…

Nature versus Nurture "Nature versus Nurture" is one of the oldest argument of all time in history and it still continues until now. Beckett (2002) defined the nature as qualities and characteristics which are transmitted to humans directly from parents through genetics. While, nurture could be explained as "all external factors surrounding human beings from birth to death" (Beckett 2002). Wherefore, scientists confirm that the factors which influence human behavior are subdivided into three aspects.…

The debate of nature and nurture is a hard debate, you have to choose between your genetics or the environment(s) you live in. As in my second paragraph, nature is how you act from your genetics, not from how you are raised. Then nurture is how your parents chose to raise you, they chose whether they beat you or treat you like you are the most popular kid in the world. Now next time you catch yourself acting like your mom or dad, blame nurture, from your parents raising you the same way they…
