Does musical training make someone successful? There are many researchers and studies showing that musical training in children and adults can help them focus, control their emotions, anxiety, etc. This is proving not only in studies, but in the children and adults themselves that yes, musical training is beneficial. Having musical training can make someone more successful and/or intelligent in their life because it’ll boost memory, the brain is working harder, and the benefits of having a musical education.

One benefit of having musical education is having spatial-temporal skills. This skill that connects music and spatial intelligence to help children and adults imagine the various elements that would go together to help understand (Brown 3). Another reason is having an increase on IQ’s. a study has shown that children with musical training has a higher IQ than children with no musical lessons and that the kids with the higher IQ are involved in extracurricular activities (Winter 14,15).
