Why Is Mt. Everest Staying Open

Decent Essays
My paper will talk about Mt. Everest staying open or should they close it. I believe that they should shut it down for a little while. I believe they should shut it down for a little while because there has been like 16 people died there. Since 16 out of 25 people died there they should close it down until they make it safer. That’s some reasons they should close it down for a little while. The mountain is the biggest in the world and people want to climb it. People have the right to climb it, but they should also have it safe enough to where people should not die. Some people would say yes, people should be able to do it if they like fear that is true, but people should also not die doing it not 16 people anyways.I believe everybody should

Humans are not capable of passing these limits unless we allow technology to play a role. From the high altitude to the dangers of unknown weather, many climatological complications plague those who take the opportunity and risk to climb to the top of the world at 29,028 feet. that took place on Everest that year. Krakauer establishes persona by use of diction and the way he does not focus on his personal triumph of reaching the peak but instead focusing on tiny mistakes and errors in judgment. Through this he shows how some of the “clients” didn't have the skills necessary to complete the climb. Krakauer forms credibility by his use of facts and his understanding of climbing. His use of facts make it easier for the audience to understand the physical part of Mount Everest…

The area of my topic for my Capstone Project is the environment and the United States should stop the production of the North Dakota Access Pipeline. The pipeline is 1,172 miles long and it will transport 470,000 barrels of oil per day. The pipeline will begin in North Dakota, travel through South Dakota, and Iowa, and end in central Illinois. The pipeline will be placed through the Standing Rock Sioux land, which is in North Dakota, and the pipeline would affect their only water supply if the pipeline spills. I chose this area because the media doesn't show what is happening in North Dakota and I want people to be informed about what is going on in our country and stand with Standing Rock to end this battle.…

In my opinion, Three Mile Island should be shut down. I think this because there’s a risk of explosion from this power plant, which could cause deaths to hundreds nearby, it costs billions of dollars to fund, and alternative power sources exist. During this essay, I’ll explain why I think Three Mile Island should be shut down, and counteract opposing arguments to my stance. While I have many other reasons as to why Three Mile Island should be shut down, I will only be focusing on these arguments because they seem like they’re the most valid. Therefore, here is my opinion as to why Three Mile Island should be shut down.…

My topic is over The Oregon Trail, it was a 2,200-mile east-west trail that served as a critical transportation route for emigrants traveling from Missouri to Oregon and other points west during the mid-1800s. Travelers were inspired by dreams of gold and rich farmlands, but they were also motivated by difficult economic times in the east and the diseases like yellow fever and malaria that were decimating the Midwest around 1836. The Oregon Trail began in St. Louis, Missouri, in early spring to begin the four- to six-month trek. This would be the last big city most would visit. Settlers loaded wagons and supplies onto steamships to travel 200 miles upstream on the Missouri River, departing when the river began heading north.…

To reach the summit of Mount Everest, George Mallory said “ Because it was there”. He said this for people to know that exploring things that may be impossible is the impossible. Exploration at extreme conditions is worth the cost for big reasons, exploration produces technology for people to build bigger things like better rocket ships and satellite radios. Furthermore, gives us new knowledge to space and things we may not know yet and may need the materials for here on earth. Yet, people believe though that space exploration is not worth it because of the human lives that it takes to do it if something does not work .…
