Mary Tudor was queen of England and Ireland throughout her life. She was very determined when it came to getting what she thought was right. Many people did not enjoy her but others thought her skills were great when it came to ruling. Mary was a queen for five years, she reigned from 1553-1558. She is important because she was the first women to take the throne from her father. Another reason she is important is because she killed hundreds of people for not believing in her. Mary was born on February 18,1516 in Greenwich, England. Her childhood wasn’t the best, her parents had divorced when she was young and her dad had married multiple times after they had gotten divorced. She had many stepmoms and had a stepsister named Elizabeth. Elizabeth and her never really got along so well while they were growing up together. The reason they didn’t really get along is because Elizabeth didn't like that Mary was going to get their father's throne. Queen Mary received an education on Humanism. Mary was taught by her tutor that her mom had hired for her. Humanism was quite popular while she was …show more content…
Mary was a queen which kept her quite busy. A hobby she enjoyed learning was Latin. She became very well at Latin and sometimes taught others to learn Latin just cause she enjoyed it. She was well known for burning protesters at stake. Mary was not lucky enough to discover anything through her period of life. Society believes she is important because she brought Catholicism back. Many people know are quite grateful to her for bringing Catholicism back because many believe in it. Today she is remembered for killing those innocent people to to show others not to make the same mistakes. Mary only did what she did because she had a very strong perspective in what she believed in. If she wouldn't have gone with what she felt was right she wouldn't have become the person she is remembered
