Martin Luther King Jr was a Baptist minister. He was also a social activist who played a key role in the American civil rights movement. He is best known for his freedom of speech which was established when they had the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963.
I Believe Martin Luther King Jr was successful because King Jr. was an important voice of the Civil Rights movement. This made which worked for equal rights for all. He was also famous for using nonviolent resistance. He even spent time in jail for it. He was tireless in his attempts to end segregation laws that prevented blacks from entering certain places. These were places like restaurants, hotels, and public schools.
