Why Is Louis Pasteur Important

Louis Pasteur is an excellent guy who has done things that led to the advancement of the life we honor today. Before Pasteur became that excellent person Louis went through a little bit of tragedies. A tragedy is when a event cause great suffering destruction, and distress,such as a serious accident,crime or natural catastrophe. These tragedies led to his triumphs which made him an excellent person. Triumphs are great victories or achievements. Pasteur did have tragedies but they were not that bad because it led to his achievements today. Pasteur was a chemist and microbiologist. Pasteur was born December 27,1822 in Dole, France. Pasteur was an average student who lived with both his parents. Pasteur and his parents were not wealthy. Louis went away to Paris to to complete his secondary schooling. …show more content…
Pasteur fell in love with the university rector Marie Laurent. Louis and Marie got married and had five children. Three children of his died at a childhood age because of typhoid fever. Pasteur started off at figuring out why beers and wine became sour after sitting for so long. In 1864 Pasteur discovered the germ theory and proved that germs were the causes of illnesses. In 1865 Pasteur saves the silkworms by finding out that the worms were ill and figuring out a way to fix that. In 1868 Pasteur is partially paralyzed by a small brain stroke, but Pasteur did not stop experimenting. In 1879 Pasteur discovers vaccinations. After Pasteur stroke in 1868 Pasteur paralysis had worsen and he died in 1895 (www.biography.com). Pasteur benefactions to the society saved many lives and Pasteur’s legacy will forever be
