King Arthur King Arthur was a great leader in his stories for multiple reasons. One of the greatest reasons was he led from the front. Another reason he was a great leader was that he was honorable. The last reason as to why he was a good leader was that he was imaginative. For these reasons he was a great king and a great general. King Arthur always led from the front and fought from the front. A reason as to why this made him a good leader was because of him putting his life on the line put courage in to his knights. He also went on all the expeditions instead of just sending his underlings to do it. If he would have fought any other way he would have never gotten to his position and he would have never been honored in the way he was. This is not the most important reason to why he was a good leader though. On another note he was also honorable and chivalrous. If something was honorable or chivalrous King Arthur had those traits. The reason these are great traits for being a leader are because you can trust him and know that he will keep his word and even go out of his way to do it. For example if the Queen “implored the king to exercise his grace So ceaselessly, he gave the queen the case”(the wife of bath’s tale pg 138). He always thought of a way to resolve a conflict with minimal casualties and even sometimes resolved it in an unusual way. When he did this he got even more following and made his knights believe that anything was possible. King Arthur was also kind in his ruling and if he thought something was unfair or too cruel for the crime committed he would council and see what should be down instead of making his decision right away. In all the way that being imaginative helped him be a great leader was that he had an open mind to whatever may
