Brutus states that he had killed Caesar because he loved Rome more, that if Caesar was still alive that the people of Rome would die slaves and that they wouldn’t be free men if he were still alive. He also says that if anyone spoke for Caesar they were rude and not a Roman. Brutus also says that Antony had a part in his death and allows him to help carry the dead body out for all the people to see. He says that if one day it pleases the country of Rome he must also be killed. Antony says that he is at Caesar’s funeral to bury him not to praise him
