Why Is Jenifer Lawrence Considered A Feminist Advocate

Think about all of the famous names of different pop stars, singers, actresses and models that a person can name off of the top of their head. Now, think of how many of those people can be considered for more than one of those categories. Flexible markets allow for this by letting various companies change their workforce in terms of demand. If a product (in this case a person) is doing well in one market than we can tweak them to sell a similar yet slightly different product to a different market, for maximum profit.
Now, think about Hollywood and the movies and TV shows that they market. Most of them involve young, Caucasian women who are thin and considered very attractive from a media standpoint. Hollywood frames women as in need of a man,

However, Jenifer Lawrence is different from many other female stars because she stands up for women and is considered a feminist advocate. Jenifer Lawrence, a size 6, has often been called a “plus size” star and asked to lose weight for various roles she takes on. She always says that she is happy with her body and will continue to be healthy but eat what she wants and not feel the need to starve herself to achieve a look. She is also very vocal about other women’s rights. She “is a feminist and believes that women can be strong-willed yet still retain their empathetic nature” and she has since started to fight back against the gender pay gap that is present in Hollywood. She says, “I didn't want to seem 'difficult' or 'spoiled.' At the time, that seemed like a fine idea, until I saw the payroll on the Internet and realized every man I was working with definitely didn't worry about being 'difficult' or 'spoiled….
