Why Is It Important To Longer School Lunches

The principal of our school needs to give the students longer lunches because lunch is an essential part of a student's day, and at school students need more time to eat and some students don't even get their lunch.
Having more time to eat could change how well students academically and in many other ways, so could actually letting the students eat their lunches. First, students need more time to eat their lunches. Students are not getting the essential time they need to eat. There have been some instances where i've seen students still in line to get their lunch when it's time to leave and they don't get to eat. Lunch is a very important meal to help keep students going through the day. Students need food for brain function so they can help finish the day. Some people might say, “Class time is more important than lunch time.” This is simply untrue because nutrition is one of the most important thing and without it our brains cannot function correctly. …show more content…
Students get so little time to grab their lunch and eat it that either people don't get to eat, or their not able to finish their food. One personal mistake I have made was buying my lunch from the school because the line was so long i didn't get my lunch. It’s extremely important we are able to get our food for fuel. Some might say, “Students need to eat and get their lunch quicker.” This is true but unimportant because students should not have to feel rushed to eat their lunch and if you want us to get our lunch quicker then hire better lunch ladies.
In conclusion, at school students should have longer lunches because we need more time to eat and some students don't even get their lunch.Nutrition is the most important part of the day and the principal should know and acknowledge this fact and do something about it. I call the principal to take action in the school and make longer lunches to let students
