Why Is It Important To Have Music In Class

A student applying for honors credit should be hardworking and consistently go beyond what is expected or required of them. This means they should stay on task and not have to be told multiple times a class period to stop talking, participate in class, put their phone away, stand up, etc. Students should have their music in class and at least attempt to learn it. They should be willing to work on it outside of school, be willing to help others when they can, and also be able to accept corrections when they are wrong. Students should be willing to ask questions when they are confused. They should be ready to sing by the call time before performances. They should be responsible for their schedules and be willing to step outside of their …show more content…
She didn’t act like we should know a subject because she has taught it before, she was always willing to explain things a different way so we could understand it.
A strength I bring to the choir is knowledge about music theory. I am also usually very quick to grasp a something and willing to help someone who is confused about something. I try to be cheerful and positive and stay calm as much as possible. I am either hardworking to the point of being a perfectionist, or I give up without trying. With me, I have to see why I am doing something before I do it.
The two biggest weaknesses I have in my opinion is low self-esteem and low self-confidence. I am usually very hesitant to ask most teachers for help, with a few exceptions. Teachers have told me plenty of times that I don’t advocate enough for myself, though I’m quick enough to try to help someone else. I have a definite stubborn, vindictive, and negative streaks, but they rarely shows unless I’m completely at ease with everyone in the room. I don’t trust myself at all, ever.
