Why Is It Important To Act Necessary

The ACT is the most common entrance exam used today. It is a test student’s take to get into college, and is a requirement in most high schools to take before the students graduate. It is used to test what students have learned in high school and see what their potential is in the future. However, I think that the ACT test is unnecessary to take for college. As a result of ACT score requirements, many students with academic excellence are restricted, and are not allowed to attend college because of their feeble test taking skills. First, the ACT is unnecessary because some students cannot test well in certain circumstances. For example, some people have to be by themselves, while others have to test with multiple people. When people are testing with other people in the room with them, they can easily get distracted by every little noise that they hear. Also, students struggle when they take a timed test. As a result of me taking the ACT test I know how it feels to take it and only have a certain amount of time. The ACT should not decide a student’s future. Each and every student should decide if they want to go to college for themselves. Also, if a student wants to try and go to college, let them go. Do not make them have to take a test that they may not get high enough on in order to go to college. If they are willing to pay all the expenses to go to college without taking the ACT let them go.
