There is no problem with drinking tap water in NJ but drinking water in a bottle is still better. “If your water comes from a public source (rather than a well), you should get a water-quality or consumer-confidence report from the water company once a year.” This shows that bottled water, as long as it comes from a public source, is accepted by almost everyone and is good quality water. Tap has certain chemicals to keep clean but these chemicals are still safe to consume. Obviously, like everything else, everything has a price but bottled water doesn’t have a big one.
