Harley-Davidson Inc is a manufacturer of heavyweight (601cc+) cruise and touring motorcycles. The company was founded in 1903 by William Harley and Arthur Davidson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Harley early success came from technologically advanced motorcycles that were successful on the race track. During the First World War, the U.S military ordered Harley motorcycles. By the 1920’s, Harley Davidson was the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world, with dealers in over 67 countries before the Great depression when sales drastically declined. To remain profitable, the company manufactured industrial power plants and three wheeled delivery vehicles. After surviving the Great depression, Harley Davidson began producing large number of motorcycles
