It seemed only yesterday that boys were the one worrying about their abs and coolness, but times are changing. Changing for the worst.
Most of the women on TV and in magazines look good and have the perfect bodies. They mostly wear clothes that are in style. In movies these people get the guy they want. As of today, shows like 13 Reasons Why, shows that relationships are shallow and are mostly based on looks. One of the reasons why Hannah Baker committed suicide is because of the voting the guys have among girls’ best assets.
Shows like these only make girls self-conscious about their looks, because they think that the guys expect us to be some model with a perfect body. A lot of times we also think they want to look like some girl in a commercial. What they’re really saying is, “Hey girls look and be like me!”. This puts a lot of pressure on having a body the shape of a coca-cola bottle and being beautiful.
