Hamlet: Being At the beginning of the play, we are posed with the question regarding the appearance of the ghost of the father of Hamlet. This created the controversy whether he was actually insane or whether he created his scheme along the way. His father sought revenge on Claudius for murdering him during his sleep which enraged Hamlet. In order to stealthily get avenge his father, Hamlet would pretend to be insane so that no one around him would give attention to his plot. However, little did Hamlet know his acting would cause others to lose themselves. As soon as Claudius found out about Hamlet’s intentions, he made it seem as if he was not at all concerned.
