Guns are the major cause of inhuman devastation in the history of mankind. Although guns are widely used for protection and for maintaining peace and harmony in the society, it has equally been misused leading to massive loss of lives and properties. Misuse of firearms, is a matter of great public concern today. If we see in the context of the United States, we find heavy human loss because of the use of assault weapons and the mass destructions caused by the guns. Now we like to leave no stone unturned in banning the guns for the welfare of the people, the individual, and the government. But we do have people who are against the gun control, which is a narrow thinking as far as I am concerned and this is just my thoughts. People have been …show more content…
Every single mass shooting used legal the guns in our country. It is the major problem we have been facing every single day in our country. We do have lots of evidence of mass shooting using legal guns. People got killed in Aurora, Colorado in the movie theater. Twelve people were killed and more than fifty were injured as we saw on the news. The gun used to kill those people was legally purchased from the store. Also in Portland, Oregon three people got shot and killed inside the shopping mall. As we read in the newspaper, the shooter was using the gun that was legally purchased. Every day the prestige of our country goes down and down because of murders using guns. Outside the United States people have been thinking America is the worse place to live in. Another tragedy we had back in 2012, Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut where taking the young lives of twenty children. The shooter used the riffles, which was legally bought by his mother. The shooter took the lives of twenty six, including school teacher, his mother, and killed him. The rate of murders using guns and other assault weapons is increasing every day. People with bad mind are killing innocent people using legal guns and assault weapons. Banning guns would definitely save the life of the people in our country. Gun is illegal in our neighboring county Canada because of that people would say Canada is peaceful and safe then America.
