(Analysis on Why Frankenstein is a Hero)
The novel “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley was written in the 1800s. Mary was just eighteen years old when she wrote this story and it stunned thousands of people in several ways. The book was based on a scientist that brought a human back to life and called this a monster. Several good and bad things were an outcome of this discovery of being able to bring back the dead. In the story Frankenstein, the doctor is a hero because he opened the eyes of people, showed how powerful science can be, and showed the negative effects of being a creator.

Science has made several incredible discoveries throughout history and have changed several things. Revealing that the doctor could bring back the dead, gave him tremendous amount of power. This power had good qualities but also bad qualities. It was the beginning of people being able to bring back dead ones. Having the power to bring back the dead was a negative thing because people would abuse this power and could cause several destructions in the world. Frankenstein is a hero because it showed how powerful and dangerous the discovery in science can be.
Frankenstein is also a hero because the novel showed how negative it can be to be the creator instead of the creation. Being the creator gives the doctor several responsibilities such as taking care of the monster and being able to control his actions. The doctor failed at this because he abandoned the monster and this resulted in violence. The monster began murdering people because he had no guidance after the doctor abandoned him. Frankenstein proved that if you are going to be the creator, you have to have responsibilities so it won’t turn out
