I chose the book Fahrenheit 451 because I enjoyed the storyline, and I am most familiar with that popular banned book. Fahrenheit 451 was written by Ray Bradbury in October of 1953. There have been multiple complaints from various different schools and people about this book. One of the main reasons they banned this book, is for the multiple negative connotations and references to christianity. In the book, they use God’s name in vein, which was taken offense to by many different christian readers. Also, throughout the book, there is one instance in which they burn the Bible, which was viewed to be very disrespectful at the time. The next complaint was that the language being used throughout the book was very vulgar, and that caused many teachers
