Welding is the most common way to join two or more pieces of metal together. There are many types of welding like explosion welding, shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding. Explosion welding and that’s when you take gunpowder and two pieces of metal. Then you ignite it and it goes kaboom and then the two metals combine to make a weld and that’s how explosion welding is done. I have always found explosion welding very fun and cool because of all the things that go into it. I have found out that explosion welding is very dangerous so when professionals do it they have one guy there to push a button and another guy make sure all the wires are are safe and not going to short out and cause it spark and not work.

Gas metal arc welding is the most commonly used type of welding because it is a lot cheaper to use and it is protected by gas and not a flux coating and it is a lot easier to make adjustments when needed, and the good thing about it is that while you are making a weld it will not get stuck as you are making a weld like you would if you are doing shielded metal arc welding. The reason I love gas metal arc welding is because of the sound that it makes while I weld and for some reason it is a soothing sound that really relaxes me and puts my mind at peace and this is what I wanna do when I go work at Landolls in Marysville, Kansas. In order to work at most not all welding places you need a one full year of welding training but at Landolls you can take the class there and if they like what they see they will hire you and put you to work and if they do not like what they see they will turn you down. I do not plan on going to college for welding my plan is to go to Landolls and take the class there and them hire me on the spot and begin my life in the workforce. Where I will be working at it will be bright lighting and high ceiling tops and very greatly insulated and I will be working with good people they are all very nice people and they are willing to help me if I get in a bad situation.
