“With the new day comes new strengths and new thoughts,”- Eleanor Roosevelt. UNICEF is in need for a spokesperson. UNICEF needs someone who is persuasive, kind, compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, hardworking, supports education, supports gender equality, supports racial equality, and has experience with children. Eleanor Roosevelt has all these traits. Mostly Eleanor is empathetic, compassionate, and knowledgeable. She would be able to relate to those around her, support and care for others, have knowledge of occurring problems, and try her best to help the cause. Although some people might think Malcolm X would be a better spokesperson because he has the courage to speak out, Eleanor clearly would be the better spokesperson, because …show more content…
“Eleanor worked in charity kitchens, ladling out soup … provided money to allow impoverished young people to stay in school,” (Jacob, 94). Eleanor was very compassionate about helping the less fortunate. She always did whatever she could to help. She also was very insistent when is came to education. Eleanor believed everyone deserves an education and everyone deserves a chance to be great and make a difference. These are only a few of the many things Eleanor was compassionate about. Eleanor would be able to help Unicef, by creating a place at UNICEF full of care and love. She would make sure all the children received proper educations and she would even go as far as doing manual labor if it meant helping the cause. “When she visited a hospital, she stopped at very bed. To each soldier she said something special...,” (Jacob, 94-95). Eleanor is a very compassionate and caring person. She would stop by every soldiers bed and give each one of them a heartwarming, motivational speech. Every person is an important person to Eleanor and she believes they are all able to achieve great things. Not only is she trying to help, but at the same time she is still trying to lift people’s spirits. Eleanor would be able to care about every individual at UNICEF, no matter their race, gender, beliefs, etc. Eleanor believes in everyone she sees something in everyone. Using her compassion Eleanor could create meaningful, compassionate speeches which she would share to the community. In her speeches not only will she move those around her, she will encourage the community to donate to, help UNICEF, or even just spread the word. “Eleanor helped the Red Cross raise money,” (Jacob, 94). Eleanor tries her best to help organizations in need of money. She previously helped Red Cross, so she could do the same for UNICEF. Eleanor is so compassionate and dedicated, she will create multiple campaigns in order to raise money for UNICEF.
