I had changed my dermatologists to the same one as my sister.…

We sat outside on my porch in the backyard that Saturday afternoon. I chose to interview my grandmother, because she is the wisest woman in my life besides my mother of course. She is 78 years old and she looks wonderful. I love her with all my heart and I knew that she would be the perfect person to interview. I never really asked my grandmother these types of questions before…
Senior Brag Sheet Career Choice: I plan to double major in mechanical engineering and finance, but still face some uncertainty in this plan. My interests developed mainly from the push of my parents. Ever since I was a child, the overarching career I was pushed towards was engineer or doctor, so I pushed myself to learn topics that would better support these ideas. Classes such as Scitech gave me an understanding of what engineers do which provided me with a great deal of interest. Other clubs such as Science Olympiad and TEAMS have also given me experiences that have fostered this interest in engineering with competitions and processes of creating something.…
Riley 1 Why is Evolution so important? Some might ask this because of the confusion drawn over the topic. However it is one of the most intriguing scientific theories that exists today. Evolution is far more interesting than the Theory of Gravity, or Germ Theory. This one addressed many age old questions, such as what is our place in this world, and where did we come from.…
Bella's Dream provides products for our little Angels made out of cotton and silk. I am a proud aunt of a baby boy named Edson. When he was born I swore to protect him and take care of him but I never expected to be part of a crowd that struggles with skin allergies. In our family we never had problem with Eczema and so this was a new unpleasent wake up call.…
Growing up in a health-conscious home, I have always been interested in organic gardening, herbal remedies, and natural approaches to maintaining physical, emotional, and mental health. I want to be a naturopathic physician because I believe that the body is sacred (1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?), and I want to teach people how to heal themselves, avoid unhealthy habits, and prolong good quality of life (1 Cor 3:17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.). My convictions were strengthened after seeing how my third younger sister (9 years old at the time) battled against dermatomyositis, a rare auto-inflammatory disorder with an incidence of 5.5 cases per…
My grandma arranged the funeral for the next day. When the day approached we all piled into the car and drove to the funeral home. At the Funeral there was music playing. The service went on for about an hour and when it was over, we all said goodbye to my grandpa.…
In the summer of 2003, I lost one of my best friends to a rare, unknown, incurable disease called scleroderma. Karen and I had met at college where we were both working on our Bachelors of Science degree in nutrition with the goal of becoming future dietitians. We formed an instant bond as we were both Jamaicans and could understand each other’s struggles and pain. We often studied together and found ourselves on occasions spending many sleepless nights getting ready for our microbiology, chemistry or nutritional biochemistry exams. With perseverance and determination, we survived those years at Georgia State University and Karen went on to become a wonderful renal dietitian, until scleroderma make it impossible for her to live with us any longer……

Why is the Executive branch so important? Some people tend to believe that there is no reason for the Executive branch to exist. The Executive branch is in fact very important to the citizens of the United States. It holds many responsibilities such as the President being the Commander in Chief, making treaties, lastly, he is responsible for implementing and enforcing laws written by Congress. Citizens also want to know just how important the branch is, and how if we did not have it, people would riot.…

When we visited Tombstone after the adoption hearing, I realized that I could ask my mothers any question, and that they would not only answer it to the best of their abilities, but they would also not become annoyed with all my questions. They encouraged inquiries about the world around me. I remember asking about the school mascot painted on the side of a high school in Tombstone. My mom didn’t know what type of insect it was, so she asked a person who worked at a nearby gift shop. My view of life changed with this simple interaction on account of the fact that I knew some of my classmates’ parents would have told them not to ask questions, but mine had and do answer my questions as well as encourage me and my siblings to ask…
