Donald Trump, one of the most controversial and well-known construction business owner, knew he was able to dominate construction market when he was in college. Of Course, every business has its own ups and downs, including Trump Organization, but not many could stand back up after being hit with bankruptcy. Despite negative critics garnered through his recent presidential campaign, his recognition as an outstanding business tycoon has been neglected. After he took over his dad’s business, Elizabeth Trump & Son, in 1971 and renamed it The Trump Organization, He has extended this business to this day. His success is well known among the business world and construction industry; According to Forbes, He is the 121th richest person in the USA …show more content…
Donald Trump was married three times to Ivana Zelnickova Winklmayr, Marla Maples, and Melania Knauss. His father, Fred Trump, was the founder of Elizabeth Trump & Son, focuses on real estate for the middle class in Queens, Staten Island, and Brooklyn. When Donald Trump was a child, he had discipline issues that made his father, Fred Trump, send him to New York Military Academy at the age of 13. In 1964, he went to Fordham University for two years and transferred to Wharton School of Finance in University of Pennsylvania. During his college years, Donald Trump was very passionate so he worked for his dad over the summer. Donald Trump decided to be involved in the casino business, so he bought a big piece of property in Atlantic City in 1980. He later was able to receive a gambling license, permits, and finance. in 1984, He signed a partnership deal with Holiday Inn and opened the casino hotel named Trump Plaza. Not long after the opening of Trump Plaza, Donald Trump bought out Holiday Inn and changed the name to Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. Since the casino hotels are one of his devotion, he bought Hilton Hotels Casino-Hotel in Atlantic City when Hilton Hotels was unsuccess to receive a gambling license. Donald Trump then named it as The Trump’s Castle. While the Trump’s Castle was under construction, Donald Trump bought one of the largest casinos in the world, Taj Mahal, in Atlantic
