How Community Can Help Alleviate Domestic Violence’s
Domestic Violence is an issue that affects all communities. It relates to Community Health Works and it’s a community issue. Why is domestic violence a community issue and what can be done to help alleviate this issue? The lack of resources and information is what keeps victims in abusive relationship.
Why is domestic abuse such an issue? Why I agree that domestic violence is an issue because over 4,000 women died a year in American. One out of three woman will be abused in some point of their life. One fact about domestic violence is many victims don’t leave the abusive relationship. It will take the average person about seven times before they decide that they’re feed up and then they will leave permanently. However there not enough resources for that victim to be successful. That why we need more resources in the community to help support victims of domestic violence. Many people don’t understand the severity of leaving a domestic violence relationship. So, if children are taught how to control their aggression and we prevent the exposed to violence’s we can help prevent domestic violence to others. Domestic violence is an epidemic that effects communities regardless of their regardless of age, economic status, race, religion, nationality or educational background. So, if communities are educated and stop blaming the victim we can make more progress and eventually we will have more victim leave can come forward. The communities need to understand that if a person trying to leave that relationship will now be faced with more challenges from leaving the abuse compared to just continuing
