Why Is Dog Fighting Illegal

Dog fighting is considered illegal, so that means if someone participates in dog fighting there will be consequence, because that person is breaking the law. According to cnn.com, even though dog fighting is considered to be a felony in all 50 states the humane society estimated that there are 40,000 professional dog fighters in the US. People will take this risk because they are making a profit off the dog fighting. Most of the time multiple laws are being broken when dog fighting is going on there is cruelty to animal, illegal gambling, unlawful possession of a weapon and even drug charges.
