Why Is Dinardo Wrong

Dennis Dinardo is going to be prosecuted for reckless disregard to human life because of the amount of danger he put everyone in. This is the right way to go because he was correct that Washington had a gun and was running with a purpose after the shots were fired. Charging Dinardo with attempted murder would be too much because he was right to take the shots he did and not charging him would not be right either because he fired multiple shots into crowd of chaos. The race of both men is not important to the story because that is not the reason Dinardo shot Washington, he shot Washington because he felt as though he was in danger of being shot. The second transit officer who stopped after he heard Dinardo yelling from the train should have pulled off his badge and shown it to him to prove that they were on the same side of the law.

The officer made the right call because of all the facts that he had learned in the short time since he heard the gunshots. He heard gunshots got off the train and saw two men who appeared to be carrying weapons running toward the other side of the station. Both of the men who had the guns were running with a purpose, Dinardo did not know what that purpose was but he acted because he felt that he and many others were in critical danger.
One witness claims they saw the cop inside stick his hand out the window and fire into the man’s back when he was down and that they were hiding under one of the seats. That witness had just gone through a very stressful and possibly traumatizing situation, so it is possible that more happened that she blocked out of her memory. Also, how well could she see from underneath a seat in the train with all the chaos going on inside and out of the train. Another witness, who was coming out of the bathroom, claims to have seen the two guys running with their guns out as he dove for
